From 16-18 April 2021, the Rovers put on Camp Tickell for the Scouts. Held at Heaney Park in Rowville, the Scouts camped out, many putting up auto tents for the first time. Some of the activities were:
- Shelter building, knots and survival skills
- First Aid
- Navigation
- Building flag poles and chariots
- Chariot racing
- Campfire
- Capture the Flag
The highlight of the weekend was the Masterchef competition. The three patrols all created a two course menu (for under $30) that they then cooked on camp stoves and BBQs. The Rovers performed admirably as judges, selecting the winning patrol.
A great time was had by all and we are looking forward to many adventures ahead.
